Okay Linda - since you asked about Harry Potter....

Here is from DS's 7th (not 8th) birthday..... the kids came in and were sorted by the sorting hat, which was a recording off of the movie, so it was the actual Hat talking

We were all dressed up and all the kids had outfits, hats, wands, and spell books.

Halloween is my favorite holiday! I do themes every year. It gets harder every year trying to settle on one for all the kids.

Pirates
Witches/bats/ vampires
knights/princesses/unicorns
strawberry shortcake


This year we are doing comics. My youngest sucks his thumb and carries around his blue blanket so he's gonna be Linus, my 3yr old is gonna be Charlie Brown, DDs will be Lucy and Sally.

I'm trying to talk my oldest into being Pigpen with the white sheet with dirt all over it.

Here is the Pirate B-day party we did... the following year. And yes.. we ALL got dressed up as pirates ROFL! That is my dad - with our kids - .... he was a terrific sport...

I sure do miss him, he always did crazy things like this for us growing up as well.

I made the Black Pearl Pirate Ship - all the kids stood behind it and had their pictures taken.... it was alot of fun! The living room was the ocean with the beach in the background surrounded by pirates - and the kitchen was the dungeon

so far, i'm planning on being quail man for halloween, doug's alter ego/fantasy about himself from the old tv show, Dough.

Should be fun working at a pet store all day with underwear ontop of my pants.
