Javelina or also called Collared Peccary are a smaller pig like mammal. They have a wicked set of teeth and a distinct scent. THey live mainly in the desert areas and eat prickly pear cactus.

Hi! Didn't see 'Pig Bomb', but feral pigs (piney wood rooters) were a huge issue where I grew up. We used to ride out to hunt calves in the season to catch newborns before the pigs found them (born in the open were usually safe, any calf born 'in the woods' was wild pig-fodder).
They also trapped and castrated all the male piglets they could --- that was a fun time and not something you want to be doing if someone loses nerve at the last minute --- those sows are fierce!!
I've rescued several litters of p'lets and with patience and time, they behave just like domestic pigs.
What was the question again?

I'm so proud of DD. 2 weekends ago she killed her first animal while hunting. It was a little sow piggy, only about 45 #s but she was excited. It was a nice clean shot and it dropped where it stood. Now she's begging for a bow to really start hunting.

Hi! Oh yes, that's the point of trapping and cutting the male piglets --- so they'd be edible come hunting season.
What in the world would one do with a great giant rank boar hog? Except to say woohoo, I outsmarted a big pig?
When the population gets out of control, they start hitting domestic planted fields and gardens.
No one finds that enjoyable and the population is reduced (bacon and chops are on the menu).
