My happy ones kept returning.... The unhappy never returned.
Bolted out of the loft and did not even flip me

That’s what I’m afraid of!
I traded some expensive chickens for 5 ducks. Wood ducks and Teals. Damn things got thru my netting in under 2 weeks, never to be seen again!

As the saying goes... the homers return and the lost ones are just pigeons. ...
More worried about raptors than not returning. Wouldn't want to see a pile of bloody satinette feathers!

Alright yall! Happy febuary! Sorry I've been off for awhile. But I'm back! so I started reading through everything but it is alot... Wv looks like your parlers are nesting?

Alright I'm going to just ask qeustions

@Pyxis how's the loft build going? Any eggs!?

@WVduckchick hows the new birds? Did your parlors lay eggs!?

@biophiliac how's your flock doing?

@Field mountains farm any coop plans?

@cavemanrich have you broke in and got pigeons yet? Have you found your flock of all white ferals? Lol.

I am building a 3rd coop. 3 by 5 Portuguese tumblers coop. Dirt floor. @WVduckchick inspired me I also got 3 new whites since I figured out my so called white hen wasn't a hen... And I want to do realeses. Also got a blue bar pair... Instinct buy... The port egg didn't hatch sadly. It pipped on the wrong end and was totally malpositioned. I'll post pics tommorrow!

It's not, and no, lol. The weather has put the kibosh on loft building for now. We have roughly 2 feet of snow on the ground and it's 11 degrees, lol. No building for me until it warms up!

No.. its still all talk right now..

So sorry about the egg.. maybe they'll do better next go round.

Welcome back!
My parlors are sitting on eggs, but I checked them on day 7, this past Wednesday, and they aren’t fertile. So I’m letting her sit for a bit longer, hoping the weather will improve, then I’ll remove them and let them start over.

Bummer on the port egg. but you’ll have to post pics of the new blue bars!

I also just posted a video today if you didn’t see it, back up a couple pages.
