It was built as a car dealership around 1918, poured concrete construction.

I feel like I should know, but what is 'the dome'?


Is that your less dominant cock? I don't know what that means but its what I hear most frequently in my loft which is within 5' of my window. I don't hear it indoors but as soon as I open the door - 90° chance 1'm going to hear that, even in the middle of the night when I would expect them to be sleeping. My screen door is noisy so I dk if I wake them or if they were already chatting away. I do find it reassuring to hear by the cooing I have live birds even before I go in. (I live in dread of a weasel attack as experienced by Ron.)

I hear it all the time too. But not at night, unless I go out for some reason and disturb them. Otherwise they seem quiet most of the night.

Its our home.. the kids started calling it the dome when we were first began putting it up..

Ok.. Im FINALLY allowed to share this.. Natalie, Shaw and their DHs will be coming for a wkend camping visit at the Dome in June! Its still in the works but Im soooooo excited!

Mine make that noise all the time. Even at night. I like it when I'm in the garden and I go talk to them and I get a hoo back!
