Pigeon Talk

Howdy! Congrats on the new job!!

I’m new at this too, but with my first pair’s squeaker, I was able to handle it a little while it was still in the nest, but it never got used to me, and now I can’t touch it. The young pair now is the pair that I brought inside and fed for a week when it got so cold, and momma had stopped covering them at night. They accept accept and trust me now. They are separated from the group because of being picked on, and get so excited when I come to the cage. I’m understanding why that one YouTube guy brings them inside at 2 weeks old.
I just hope they will be accepted back into the flock when the time comes.

Chocolate. I like your priorities. :D
Poor thing. I replied to the thread. Good job linking this thread :) hopefully it makes a full recovery.

ManeyLofts did a video on how he does it and did a sort of miniseries on them where he'd stick an update on them into each of his videos for a while. I think I'd like to try it myself but I'm probably going to let my pair try to raise a few on their own first.

Well it's around 35°F and going to rain or snow. The parents were not sitting on 41 and 42 when I checked. They hadn't yet been fed although its early still. I brought them in where its warmer and they still weigh 210gr and 190gr, same as when I weighed them yesterday around midday. I fed them some peas and am trying to decide if I keep them in and for how long...
