The 4" deep ones are sideways I think and imo I'd go at least 10", maybe even 12" wide. 10" high should be fine. The forward facing ones are less common and are deep enough for the bird to face forward, probably at least 8"deep.

@Pyxis have you dived into the pigeon genetics yet?
Ok, so are N N pigeons tumblers?A little bit, not a ton. Which reminds me, I need to ask what color my tumblers are considered so I can fill out my entry form for the show.

Ok! Thanks!Yes, the full name of the breed is Romanian Naked Neck Tumblers![]()
I had the exact one pictured, and used for my chickens. Discontinued using since much of the feed was billed out.Anybody ever used these to feed your birds? I'm going to be out of state for four or five days next month and while I'm having someone look in on the birds once or twice I'd like to make it as easy as possible for them by using a feeder like this.
One issue I've run into was that these are very shallow and its easy for them to flick all the feed out. I think I'll try to get a square piece of plastic or some kind of drink carton and cut a small circular hole into it and then tape that over the tray at the bottom so that they can't be as picky.
That is exactly one problem that feeder would be subject to but it would still serve the purpose in a pinch.easy for them to flick all the feed out.
I'm going to say ash-red dilute, aka yellow.A little bit, not a ton. Which reminds me, I need to ask what color my tumblers are considered so I can fill out my entry form for the show.
