Pigeon Talk

I seem to be being given pigeons left right and centre at the moment! Look at my latest acquisition!

This is another one from the stables. Very young. I'm thinking younger than the other one. It's very petite and has quite a small short beak. She is a sweet little thing and kept landing next to our horse. How she didn't get stood on is a wonder. Then she was in a stall drinking ftom the waterer and the stable owner literally just picked her up! I love the colour! I'm so hoping for a female!
Also on Facebook a training cage came up for sale a couple of days ago. So I bought it and the guy delivered it to me for £15! Bargain!

I just hope that I can get these two to stay!

any chance of getting its mate??
You know already about getting a diversity of genes is a good thing for the health of the flock. Ferals bring in a GOOD diversity of health benefits. JMO:idunno:old... The weak, less healthy ones do not make it.
The 3 runaways made room for new arrivals:highfive:

I'm still hoping for the others return but the diversity will be good. The first one I think is to young for a mate but it was in with another couple that were already paired. I'll have to wait a while and see if it is a male. I think it is.

I just noticed that it has some light gray at its tail. So it may carry some red ash spread, which is normally, if seen in plumage, dominant. So you may get more reds from it!
