So i just had a coopers hawk grab one of my racing homers by surprise and take off to a treeline 1/2 acre away i was running and screaming as loud as i could and when i figured it was doomed it lost grip of the bird and then the pigeon went to a tree and the coopers flew off to another tree line 1/2 acre away. I was trying to get the homer to come in but it wouldnt. (The coop is an acre away at this point) so i was worried that the cooper would return but i had to try and get the the other homers in. So i kept on making sure the homer was still there and then i saw the cooper go and grab it again so i yelled as loud as i could and went running after it and i had to avoid a fencerow so i went around and was looking in all the trees and not seeing it but then i saw it on the ground with my bird so i ran and was yelling and it tryed to take off with my bird but couldnt get up in time so the cooper left it and flew off and the pigeon tryed to fly but couldnt and ended up falling in some brush and then i reached in and grabbed it. Its wing was red with blood and it has 3 punctures so i took it back home in the pouring rain 39 degree weather 3 acres back and its now in a warm tote with a heat lamp, food, and water. I will keep yall updated. Any other suggustions @biophilliac

About then, maybe even sooner! It's such a rush to see those first babies hatched. What a darling, and the babies should look like the parents, right?So... December 3rd or so, I may have some squabs!?!![]()

I just got into pigeons about two years ago. I am loving them! I have Portugeuse Tumblers and Frillbacks. What do you have?
