What I have learned comes mostly from 2 places, the Univ of Utah linked below ...

and a series of youtube videos by Flying Pigeons...the first one is on base colors and talks about sex linked pairings. The other one is about a modifier called spread.

When I posted a few of these on the pigeon BB thread, Ron said they made is eyes glaze over after a few minutes and if he continued to view he developed a tic in the eye..'or was it a headache? I can understand why.
This one is pretty good covering color, patter and modifiers.

I understand the glazing over part.

It’s actually somewhat similar to the blue/black/splash in chickens and the sex linkage is similar to chocolate in chickens. As I did when I was breeding choc orps, I’ll have to make a spreadsheet/chart to make it make sense in my head lol
