When I posted a few of these on the pigeon BB thread, Ron said they made is eyes glaze over after a few minutes and if he continued to view he developed a tic in the eye..'or was it a headache? I can understand why. :gig

It’s actually somewhat similar to the blue/black/splash in chickens and the sex linkage is similar to chocolate in chickens. As I did when I was breeding choc orps, I’ll have to make a spreadsheet/chart to make it make sense in my head lol
 
I’m going to try to figure out what color he is, but if someone know, that would be great!

I don't have a good grasp of this but recessive red comes to mind...

I'm probably way off base!:rolleyes:

edit added: Ash reds don't have tail bars, but there is also a barless modifier i think, so complicated! I bet you will figure it out.:)

I can catch him now, but he does a lot of growling and wing chopping along the way. So, that sweet "I can't believe it's a feral" behavior is likely a defense mechanism for being hurt and handled by a predator. I thought mine was cuddly too... lol

Enlarge and print out below pix. Frame and hang in pigeons viewing area.

Don't really understand your question as something easier??? :idunno
First thing you need is a small loft to house your pigeons. I say small because you need to start small and learn as you go along. Once you have housing available, get some pigeons. Suggestion for homing pigeons is very simple. These are the ones most likely to return to your loft when released. Not all will return BTW. Those that keep returning are the KEEPERS.:thumbsup
You can buy squeakers, (young pigeons ) from a variety of sources. Craig's list is one source that comes to mind. They are in your local area, so ideal to get locally. Raise and breed them to increase your flock. You will learn as you go thru your adventure.
You do not include your location,:idunnoso I have no idea as to where you should search.
You need to ask a more specific question to get a response or answer. A broad question like "HELP ME WITH PIGEONS" the response would have to be the size of a book.
