I did send him a message yesterday to tell him both squabs hatched. I got a thumbsup reply. He isn't very text savvy.

Ask him how you can get some bands quickly and he may offer if he has some.

Horseman Pouter cock... Hen was quite nervous as this is a new pairing. The male she was with had nice color but was a sissy male... Very feminine build. I’ll use him with a poor hen as surrogate parents for the runts I may be getting.. Supposedly runts are poor parents.

@Pyxis i also use a hoe to scrape out the floor.

@WVduckchick if you are going to show, you need to get seamless regestered bands.

@biophiliac and @WVduckchick i have feather legged ones and they are banded. It doesnt seem to bother them to much. Its funny with the feather legged ones when they take a bath, they then dance to dry off!

Nah, mine are just for fun. Not planning to show them. If they breed well, I may consider selling offspring for show, but that's way down the line.

Well one more pigeon made it back (sort of) I was called by the SPCA someone at Canadian Tire a short distance from my home caught one of my homing pigeons. They then gave it to the SPCA and they called my phone number on the band.
I went and retrieved it yesterday.
