Pigeon Talk

Hello WVduckchick I'm a newbie to pigeons too I have one nun pigeon, (I thought it was a helmet pigeon I just learned to tell the difference today) a helmet pigeon, a pair of rollers, and a pair of homers. I would like a few frillbacks, a few German modenas, and a few capuchin reds. My dream bird is the capuchin red.

Welcome :) Nice to meet another frillback fan. That's the breed that I keep. I too would like to get some capuchins, as would @backyard pigeons.

:welcome Welcome aboard!
I love the Modenas also! There are so many beauties, its hard to pick just a few. I also wouldn't mind having some frillbacks. But I'm trying to keep down the different varieties! lol

Glad to have you join us. Whereabouts are you located?

Hello I'm amazed by how on the frillbacks only some of their feathers are curly. I'm also amazed at how many different and unique pigeon breeds their are.

There seem to be quite a few pigeon fanciers in Cincy and Columbus areas, from what I've seen of CL ads and such. I'll keep my eye open for those breed too.
The guy with the Satinettes that I might get is up north of Akron/Youngstown, 2.5 hours from me, but we don't mind driving to get stuff.

I wish I could find any pigeons around here, lol. There are a couple guys who were selling some at the last chicken swap I went to, but it was just tumblers and some white fantails and that was it.
