I don't think they do feed at night. As to # of feedings you need to evaluate the crop before you feed more. I found that the correct temperature of the formula is important. I believe you are qualified in terms of knowledge and dedication to undertake this as you know the difficulties and the eggs have no chance without you.
She was breeding them for a couple of years. These are what is left from the breeding stock and a few pets. I was hoping when she got the horse she'd lose interest and sell them. I'll have to continue with my passive hinting strategy!Looks like perfect pigeon space!

One of the advantages of being a rodent or lagomorph(rabbit) is that you do NOT get rabies...now tularemia, aka rabbit fever, is pretty serious and transmissable to humans.
We already have a house hen! I'm not sure she'd want any more animals in the house! If we could sell/rehome 5-6 then I could rearrange the right side for the rabbits and have the left side for pidgies. Is myxamotosis the same ad rabbit fever? That is always our biggest worry. It's spread by mosquitoes then rabbit to rabbit.
Myxamatosis is viral and specific to rabbits...not other mammals. Tularemia is bacterial and can affect humans. Does your DW show any signs of becoming a pigeon fancier? That's good news that doba is back in with the rest of the flock. Hopefully it will encourage her to make a more normal movement with her wing. Even if she can't fly she can still get around on the perches which is good.
She does like the pigeons and is good when I need her to hold them or feed them if I'm out but I don't think she's all that into them. She does get everso concerned if I take any out for a lob! well the ports will be tame of they hatch and make it. I would love to have a few more that would come in command!
Im sure you will!It looks like my planned expansion of the loft has hit the buffers. DW has decided she wants to keep the rabbits.I'll have to put plan B into action, not sure what that is yet but I'll think of something!
