I have 8 Satinettes and 2 parlor rollers. But 2 pairs of Satinettes are on eggs and the parlor female laid her first one today. Another pair of sats appear to be hooking up too lol I thought I might work up to about 18-20 birds, then start selling some squeakers.

Ok. If you ever get to many sats, you could send some my way

Alright. Here's some pics of my birds. Some are on eggs! My pair of white homers is nesting in the ground. Not sure why. Plenty of boxes available.

Haha I saw one hatched under Rocky today. Trip was taking her turn off the nest.
And Duff has been spending a lot of time in another nest, so we’ll see what happens there. I might be overrun with squeakers before I know it!

No, I saw it partially zipped and was contemplating if I should look further when he stood up just far enough for me to see the fuzzy down.

I assume so. It had been over 24 hours. I was started to get worried. I haven’t gotten a good look at the other egg. Hopefully I’ll be able to see something on the video when the partners switch back.

Well, both squabs have hatched. At least I saw one fully out and the other looked like it was half way out. The egg was in half, but it’s butt was still in the bottom half.
Couldn’t see anything during their swap and it’s cold today, so I didn’t want to bother her too much.

But I did record the hand off, of her taking the nest back.
Sorry it’s a bit wonky, I recorded the iPad screen with my phone.
At the beginning, Trip runs off one of the other birds, then comes back to take her place on the babies. And Rocky flies away. Good daddy.
