Someone attacked Chance today. I found him on the ground in a corner when I came home. I’m going to try checking the camera playback but where he was is out of the picture, I think. But it might give me a clue.
I put a little neosporin on it and tube fed him some, since his crop was empty. But he seems to be ok for now. View attachment 1722717View attachment 1722718

Poor guy! That's why I like to see my squeakers hang in their nest box til they are able to fly and escape a bit. Still, if they get attacked they can't really defend themselves. I'm gonna be so worried if the 2 newest make it to fledge. BTW, that's very similar to what Doba's wound looked like.
If I lived closer, I would be knocking on your door to purchase a hen.
My Cessna Citation is out of gas,,, so I would have to drive 2 days.
I would like to add one AC hen , one Serama hen, and one Icelandic hen, to my pet assortment.
This is what inspired me to get an Icelandic.
I have doubts that a frying pan is a good choice... Every time I come out with one,,,, the chickens are crowding ALL OVER ME trying to get the leftover egg omelet.(lil cannibals)
I have found a better solution.(works for me BTW)
Some here know caveman is into music. I try to share my music with my chickens. They LUV Rock Music. I have posters such as these in the coop for their viewing enjoyment.
Are you sure that you live in a Volunteer State, or are you in an Eastern Block Nation with a 10 hour earlier time zone
You can live in downtown Chicago (HIGHRISE) and own a pet pig. Chicago allows chickens and roosters. Where I live chickens are allowed.(hens) 3 blocks north of me (Franklin Park) and 4 blocks west of me (Northlake) NO CHICKENS, DUCKS, etc.

I would suspect that it is one of your male pigeons, and your lil victim is also a male.
Just like Bio mentioned, best to see them confined to their nest box, at least until able to escape better.

I had that happen to squeak when she was about the same age. It looks bad but should heal fine. I used manuka honey on it. I think she went to close to another nest.
In my area, the going price is about $100 per chick, (STRAIGHT RUN) That is of course asking price, and I'm not sure how fast they are flying off the shelves at that.
