I have doubts that a frying pan is a good choice... Every time I come out with one,,,, the chickens are crowding ALL OVER ME trying to get the leftover egg omelet.(lil cannibals:gig)
I have found a better solution.(works for me BTW)
Some here know caveman is into music. I try to share my music with my chickens. They LUV Rock Music. I have posters such as these in the coop for their viewing enjoyment.

Are you sure that you live in a Volunteer State, or are you in an Eastern Block Nation with a 10 hour earlier time zone:idunno
View attachment 1722740 You can live in downtown Chicago (HIGHRISE) and own a pet pig. Chicago allows chickens and roosters. Where I live chickens are allowed.(hens) 3 blocks north of me (Franklin Park) and 4 blocks west of me (Northlake) NO CHICKENS, DUCKS, etc.

Some of the laws regarding animals that you guys have over there are archaic. I heard that in Chicago or illinois it is/was banned to keep pigeons.

I put a little neosporin on it and tube fed him some, since his crop was empty. But he seems to be ok for now. :(

Uh oh! It will heal, just keep putting neo on it. If bring in brick also, chance may like some company.
 
Watching the replay, my heart sunk. I’m pretty sure it was Skye, but with the angle, and the sunshine, and a couple roosts blocking part of it, I can’t be positive. The others just kinda stood around and watched. Why didn’t the parents help? :barnie

Momma Trip was feeding Chance, shortly after I left, and I think they accidentally fell out the door to the ground. Then Chance couldn’t get back in.

Hmm. Last time I checked I was still in the volunteer state. But I'll double check when I'm done volunteering ;)

but it's pretty goofy. We own 2acres and at the very back it's 1000 feet away from the road, which is how far it's needed to make it legal to own chickens, but then that is close to another road!!! So no one is able to legally keep them within the neighborhood...

sometimes they don't help for some reason...

is sky one of your hens??? That is weird. WAS she one of the nicer ones?
