Pigeon Talk

Just checking in quick today with a photo of Olive enjoying a lovely Easter sunday outside. Took her with me to visit family and she's been great with all the new experiences. View attachment 1746938

So pretty. She looks comfortable with her leash on.

Happy Easter yall! I got an Easter egg. A white homer one... But sadly, they don't even Have A nest. So I might 'foster' it. Gonna try to finish the 3rd coop tommorow. Yay!

Give them a bowl and some nest material, quick!! :D

I was hoping to get an Easter egg from the Frillbacks, but so far, no dice. The hen is spending a lot of time sitting in nest though, so hopefully I see some eggs soon.

:fl
I’ve been expecting eggs from Bonnie and Clyde for a while now and still nothing. I’m not in a hurry for them to lay again though. Already have another couple on eggs, so I’d prefer they wait a bit longer.

Yup! I sure will!

It's official. My pigeons hate me! They have all had a really nice day out and about, had a bath, some really nice dinner then a friend of mine came over and they all got PMV vaccinations! They are are looking a little upset in the loft now but it's necessary. It didn't take long but I would hate having to try to do a loft with 200 or more birds in it!

I know we have discussed two females forming a pair, sitting together, etc. But does it happen with 2 males too?
Skye, my blueette that I know for sure is male, has been woo’ing my young Bugsy. I’ve been getting the female vibe from Bugsy for a while, but today I saw Skye trying to woo her into a nest, then I saw him bowing to her and she was preening his head. I haven’t seen actual mating, but is this a good indication that she is female, or does it happen with 2 males also?
Bugsy is only about 5 months old.

I think Skye's opinion is a very good indicator!:D
