Small update on my birds:
I've returned and everything seems well. From the mess in the loft it seems whatever the adults have is continuing to come and go as there is a fairly even mixture of normal poo and greenish mess. My 4 in 1 should be in soon so hopefully that takes care of things.
Both squabs are doing quite well and are around the 30 day mark.

Awful news guys... So, I have 5 racing homers, I had three males, but then I purchased a mated pair. So then I had 4males one female. Well, the 'pair' isn't a 'pair'. I now have FIVE males and ZERO females.

Thank you they get that from their mother, she looked the same when she was younger and her pattern got less crisp as she got older.
Both have been leaving the nest and exploring and the bigger one actually joined the parents in the aviary today.

Bummer Not the end of the world as they should/can/might live together in relative peace as there is no females to fight over. But not good if you want to breed any. Are you going to try and find some hens? Ideally you could do with five to even them out but then that would put you to ten, how much space would you have for breeding? I'd try to sell two males and buy three females, easier said than done though. This is a headache I'm sure you could do without.

Yes, I do want to breed. The problem is, the pair i bought is for show more than racing, but I want better racers. Soo I would trade them for racers, but what fancier who has racers and races wants to trade for show racing homers? I know the president of the racing club in our area, but I know he doesn't want show racers. And I know he will help me out, and give a couple hens, (after race season) but then I have 2show racers I don't want to breed, and things will get a bit wild in the loft.

You could try them out. They should still have homing instincts even if not that good. Try them from a few miles away. They could make drop birds.

Funnily enough when the guy came from Lincoln to pick up his pigeon the first thing he asked me was if I had any prisoners. Fortunately I don't but it seems to be quite a common thing.
