Pigeon Talk

Guess what I have???
My pigeon magnet must be switched on again! Not mine but another stray! This time from the Scottish Homing Union. I've just gone on the website and reported it. Everso friendly. It didn't trap. It just went in my garage with my broody hen and started pecking in the feed bowl. It just let me pick her straight up!

Nice! Have you contacted the owner? Are you gonna keep it? There seems to be a lot more racers in the UK...

when I saw you attached a file, I thought, "cool! his pinkie nail!"

You really must have a pigeon magnet in your yard!

No. I want it to return home. I've kept this one separate in the garage so it doesn't get used to this area. But if the owner contacts me and says he doesn't want it back.....! It's a 2015 female.
I have a picture somewhere of when I first did it! :(:sick

It's grown back sort of OK just a bit wonky!

Thanks! :gig

A 2015 female, so an old bird race, right? Or just a loft fly\toss? She's probably a good bird if it was a race.

She's will only be four so not too old! She has a racing rubber band on her leg as well as a electric tag. So I'm guessing a long distance race. Maybe a French release.

Old bird is anything over one year for racing, so that's what i was meaning. Since there is young bird, and old bird at least in the US
The same here. Any bird born in the current year is a young bird. Any bird born in the previous year is old/normal/regular:confused::lol:
There is an awful lot of racing happening at the moment here. Not bad considering the sport is meant to be in decline! Saturday and Sunday liberations and training tosses in the week. There is a place a couple of miles away ftom here that is popular for people from the North to release from. I see them at least twice a week!
