okay. Thanks!Sorry for the slow response... been busy with road training the youngsters. Yes the lime is a powder. It's called hydrated lime (the same kind used for whitewashing). You might want to read up on it a bit though as it's a very caustic substance (get's very hot with the water). It's also the kind of thing where you would need to keep the birds out of there for a while or else it will burn their feet. I'm not even totally sure where to buy it, but I'm guessing some kind of masonry supply place would have it ( I think it's also called builders lime or masons lime or something like that). Back home we used to use it on the farm for whitewashing the barns and for disinfecting... it's been a long time since I have messed with it so my memory is a little foggy haha.
And can you please post some more pics of your birds?

no, but I think there tired of my pigeons hanging out with them... and packed up and went north! My birds always fly with them, I guess for safety.I usually do not quote myselfI do have a lot of friends here that are willing to help me out. I went out this morning ,,,,, and sure enough,,,, a flock of starlings to greet me.
.. BP, did you by chance instruct some of yours to fly north to the Cave Loft
???
