Do you know which breed of pigeon you want? It's only homes that will be difficult to settle and resettle. If you decided on exhibition or show breeds you could get some sooner, they will resettle easier and are good for eye candy!

House pigeons rock!

If you go that route choose a fancy breed for the lower energy levels... They'll generally be tamer to begin with than flying breeds.. and if you want a really affectionate pet the females are better for that I think. But I can't promise they'll all be like mine. She is clearly in a league of her own.

Alright guys! I got a bit of extra money this week selling off some of my birds for winter so .....Figurita breeders! I know someone on here recommended one but my screenshot never saved and I cant find it in my history wallace is still his quiet self but i now have a additional 2x4 cage I can use as a breeder cage and extra money to order some more flight suits + a new wife for Wallace!

Well he had not decided until today but i just asked him Again and now he says fan tails! Whatdo u think?? That would be one of the tamer fancy things i think! There are some on CL around me im sure ive seen an ad for them. Seem to remember them being in poor conditions. I'll look up CL after dinner.

All that cuteness does make a pretty good point but we have three human toddlers . Dont think u know that yet theyre pretty wild-- twin 2s and a 1 yr old. Donno how thatll work yet. I have kicked every other pet out at least during the daytime except my buttons. I allow the dogs to come in after the kids go to bed to sleep inside but thats it. Too much work keeping the house clean enough for such young children with pets.

I think they're pretty docile, and I think the whites are super attractive birds. But the garden type only - not the American show type.

Fantails are a good choice. Mine seem pretty chiiled. There is a good variety of garden fantails
