Day 7. Getting nice and big and healthy! Mom and dad don't seem to mind me taking him out for a couple minutes.

Does anyone have swings in their loft or aviary?

I put one up once. They weren't a fan. But you should try!

Does anyone have swings in their loft or aviary? I was thinking of constructing a couple out of rope and branches. Wondering if they will enjoy it or if they would get freaked out by the movement. I know some people have them for chickens so I'm curious what you guys think!

Olive loves swings. She spins on the ceiling fan and swings on a hanging stsined glass picture in the window.

I would've banded him if I thought about it and has ordered some ahead of time! I don't think I'll be able to get any anytime soon. Oh well! I put a couple swings in the aviary and they've leanded on them a couple of times but they're still getting used to balancing on them lol. Hopefully they will learn to like them when they aren't flying onto them at high speeds and falling off!

Hang some dandelion leaves, or a leaf of romaine at one of the swings and compare what happens?

I don't really think so, maybe he feels a draft? @Pyxis said the adults are often hiding their necks too so it's hard to get a good photo.
