Do y u guys think this pigeon can fertilize eggs?
He is almost 4 months old but coos a lot
I even saw him chasing his mom and dancing
And btw he is not done molting

Loft Cam is live and in the loft now. I had been procrastinating on putting it out there because I was having fun watching the quail chicks with it, lol. I can't see the whole loft, no way to get an angle on the whole thing, but I've got the nest boxes and a good chunk of the loft in view.

The WiFi signal isn't the best so I have to have it on 360p mode, but I'm having fun peeking in on them to see what's going on.

I think I'm gonna get another to set up to watch the brooders (and incubators during hatches) because it's really fun to be able to 'tune in' to the chicks whenever I want.

Well, sadly the YB show last October was cancelled (that's why you didn't see photos!) And recently the grand National (also in Louisville KY) was cancelled. :(

The Louisiana pigeon club decided last minute to throw a show in replacement. It is going to be a lawn show, now that's how to do a pigeon show in these weird times! I will be showing three Portuguese Tumblers! Very excited. The show is January 27-28.

Hey everyone I hope you all and your lofts are doing well! 2020 was a hectic year, I hoping you and your loved ones are well in these times :hugs Happy new year to all, hopefully it’s better than the last ♥

I’m sad that I didn’t drop by this forum nearly as much this past year but I’ve definitely changed for the better over that time during all this, less time online more time with my family and animals, which I am very thankful for.

This crazy farm is still going strong, with only a few less chickens this 2021, rehomed to an amazing friend. Thing 1 and Thing 2 are still residing in the loft I built for them.. Had I mentioned “Fish” on this forum? Well, I thought we had a bachelor move in to swoon the ladies but it turned out that Thing 1 had just molted out her bad tail feathers and got a cute white frame for her new tail! The last feather on either edge of her tail has the outer half a white colour while the other side is her normal colouring, the rest of her still looks the same as always. I seriously had thought a third pigeon had moved in while Thing 2 went gallivanting for a free fly:lol:

Ouu but yesterday when I had been doing the water for the pigeons (they come out to my back deck to be fed and watered now, except when it was really really bad weather I took stuff inside to them bc I felt bad) I noticed I think another pair of pigeons with Thing 1&2! I believe it was the checkered wing pair from earlier this spring/summer, they’ve lost a little weight but maybe if they want to move in for the winter I can help fatten them up some and they’ll want to just stay in the spring :fl:love

EDIT: They both have the white tail feathers! ♥️♥️ Added some photos since they’ve decided to take over my stairwell to my apartment as I forget to close the window after airing it out earlier only to get distracted with my coop chores, I haven’t even had my morning tea yet :caf
