Pigeons ha e gone out please help

uh oh, pigeons are curious, so mistake learned.
Place food in the loft, and wait for dusk. do you have nay trained pigoens to fly? if so, fly them and they will join up with them if near by. are they hungry?
Yes, they will try.
YES! i had one YB simply refuse to come back after a loft fly. hasn't come back since.
Yep. i had one come back after day 8, so be patient @Jo4dunx
yes, they like to flock in the air, so likely together.

i dont recommend throwing a towel... they will outfly it. but, a net might work. but if they are near the coop pacing trying to find a way in, just wait, and they will go in by themselves. if you catch one, the other will grow wise to the trick, and you will likely lose it.
Many thanks this is helpful . I still hVnt manage to catch site of them at all yet 😕bit worried if I’m honest . I won’t give up hoping they will return they have now been gone for 4.5 hours

I’m betting on them coming back home for food after their adventure is over.
I do hope so ! It’s the first pigeons I have had and now I kick myself for leaving the door open but I did lab to let them out at some point I hVe them in a shed with a mesh type window so they can see out and see their surroundings they have been inside the coop for almost a month maybe a little less . Is this enough time for them to learn where they live ? I’ve been looking around all day and can’t seem to see them although there’s a lot of birds around here where I live . Can they get mixed up into groups of other pigeons ? How would they know where to come to get home ?
thnaks

They are probably not hungry no . I have a feeder trough in tnere shed and it’s awash full of food ... another lesson learnt I guess

Just wanted to inform you that pigeons do need to be trained to enter thru a bob's trap. Another part of training is to have an outside aviary that pigeons can view the outdoor surroundings better than just thru a small window. Aviary does not need to be very big. I used a large dog cage for my aviary, and launch point for their loft flights.

Thankyou this is most helpful the door on my shed is still open and one of them is hovering around I’m so glad it’s back . I havnt seen the other one Yet is it unusual that they are not together ?

Other one may be just resting in a tree out of your sight. This one that returned , I suspect got the munchies, since it is near lunchtime. Leave the door open and do not try to close, and trap them unless both are there. Even if one enters, just leave open. Other may follow. Even if he does leave, after eating, you have one thing accomplished.... Pigeon knows where home is!!!... Likely to return in evening, to roost for the night.

Well they both hun around for a while on top of the coop and then on the floor by the door to the coop but neither ent inside . They then both flew off again and havnt returned so I’ve had to shut the coop up now . Ordered a job trap off eBay to train them with once they do return . I will open the coop first thing in the morning but I’m guessing they will have gone to bed perched somewhere now ? I suppose it’s a good thing tnat they actually came back and hung around isn’t it ?
just hope tomos I can get them back inside. They do have rings on their feet and are registered with my address etc but because the ring is silver it’s hard to see so I think I need to add a plastic coloured ring just so when I spot them and be sure they are mine. Whatsize do I need to buy ? 8 min? Thanks for everyone’s help
