Hi Pippin :) i Have a broody hen who has decided to sit on eggs in a different stable. The others haven’t seen her for a couple of days. She came off her nest for a break today and went out with the others, my Rooster attacked her 😳 is this normal and how can I prevent it happening again?
Are you letting her hatch eggs? If you plan on keeping her there, either make her a separate run and re-integrate her and her chicks when they're older, or you can separate the rooster (if he's the only one attacking her) until her chicks can fend for themselves.
If she's not hatching, break her and separate the rooster for a couple days then re introduce them

She’s been sitting on them since the 5th of April, they should hatch around the 26th. A separate run and then re-integration is probably the best way to go…thank you :love
