hello!
I have an egg in an aquarium with a metal mesh top, temp is around 100°F and humidity is at about 50%.
When turning the egg by hand I noticed that there was a circular crack in the egg as if it had tried to break through but it did not create a hole, or pip. I immediately put the egg back in the incubator and waited, it’s the third day since I’ve noticed this and when I looked in today there was another circular crack higher up like the first, had not broken through.
I am new to this and I am very concerned my chick is unable to get through and is drowning/suffocating (I do not know how old the egg is). It is not making any noise but the baby is still alive. Could this be because low humidity? Please help!
