Please help! Lethargic silkie!

Hello everyone!
This morning I made Pongo a “drink” that consisted of lots of water, her feed, and a bit of raw egg. She happily took when I dropped-fed it this morning. Fast forward to tonight:
When I went down to give the nightly medication, I believe she was on the brink of death. But, I don’t think it was because of the Coccisidis. I am certain that it was just just pure fatigue and lack of nutrition. So, I immediately picked her up and offered the drink that I mixed up this morning. To my great surprise, she began (by herself:ya) gulping the mixture down! I assume she drank at least a few teaspoons! I also gave her a few drops of Corid to kill the rest of the infection. I feel so good knowing that she went to bed with a full crop and belly! I will do my very best to update tomorrow! Thank you again @Eggcessive for all of your help!

So glad that she ate the concoction for your, and went to bed with a full crop. Let’s hope she perks up and doesn’t give you another scare.

Amen to that!

Hello yal!
We stopped the Corid treatments on Saturday because Pongo was doing so well. I am wondering when she should go back out into the flock? Also, it seems as if she can’t see real well because of her head poof, so I was curious what I could do about that?

Glad that she is doing so well. I would take her out for a supervised visit with her flock. But I would have a dog crate ready that you could put inside her coop, and have water and food available. Many times when one is out of the flock for 10 days, they may get pecked due to the changed pecking order. You might need to leave her in a dog crate for a few days with supervised visits continuing. If they seem to accept her back with minimal pecking, that would be great. Make sure that she continues to get enough to eat.
