If you're quick, it won't. I usually put a pipette of water on a paper towel when I open the incubator during hatch. That brings the humidity back up very quickly and it dries out fast enough that it doesn't affect humidity for long.Should I open the incubator to get the hatched chick or will it shrink wrap the other chick?
Have you checked for pips? Candled to see if there's an internal pip? I wouldn't worry too much yet, but candling wouldn't hurt.Today is the 18th day and the other egg hasn't hatched yet. How do I know if it's still alive?
If you tap on the egg, do you hear anything? If not, it's probably dead.I candled the egg and the air cell seems the same as it was on day 14.
