Please stop pooping in the nesting boxes!

We tend to think of chickens as being stupid. They are not, they actually seem to have a pretty good memory in my opinion.

@Sublight mine freak out when I go toward the shed. They know their treats are kept in there

I have had one chicken lay one egg every day for two weeks
She started at 19 weeks old
My other chickens have not started yet and now all are 21 weeks old

I have 6 chickens in all plenty of roost and two nest boxes
Should I set some golf balls or fake eggs in that one box that’s getting the poop

Are all the chickens using the roost at night? Is the poop showing up at night or day time too?

Fake eggs won't stop them from pooping in the nest box if someone's been sleeping in them.

I have a small flock and coop, but enough room on the roost for all. They mix up their positions on the roost. On occasion or or another will sleep in the top nest box which is about roost height. They will sometimes poop there and I clean it out in the morning. I use Koop Clean for bedding which helps the eggs come out clean. IOW, I don’t worry about it. Some good suggestions above if you do.
