What pretty Rocks you have Specklehen!

I just have your regular barnyard rocks. Here is a funny picture I took of one of my hens last spring when I was cleaning the coop. So please excuse the mess. Everything goes out the front door and then I move it to the compost pile.

I use the deep litter method so everyone can stay warm so it gets to be quite a build up through the winter. I am sticking with shavings this winter.

Yes, I do, though not super recent. Emily is the really shy one, though she occasionally likes to be picked up. She's been broody three times already, but never sits till hatch day, silly girl. We love her anyway.

Kris, I still have a few of those myself. They are what I started with and why I love the breed, especially the barred variety. Even "everyday" BRs are lovely birds.​

Are the Barred variety of Rocks any more friendly/curious/personable than the other colors?
