No. Weims are considered gun dogs, not pointers. In that, they track but don't "point" at the prey. Thor is too stupid to do any of it regardless

Our German Shorthair, who arrived as a puppy, was easy to train to leave the chickens alone. They were MINE, not his. He was the smartest and most stubborn dog we've ever had, great in the field, took time to believe that any obedience command meant EVERY TIME...
And a 'perpetual motion machine' most of his long life. LOVED him, but don't have the energy to cope with one any more.

They are classed as a hunting dog. Wikipedia says: From 1879 the dogs were considered to be a blue variant of the German Short-haired Pointer, and were eligible for registration in the stud-book of the Kurzhaar Klub.
