Popcorn's new roost,,, 8 feet off the ground! pic

I'm going to try and get pics outside with my camera tomorrow, I've been taking shots with my phone but it's not that good inside and the orphans are still in the office. Tink still is a tiny little thing! He and everyone from his pen are sharing with Popcorn and Lissy hen for now, and getting along just fine. I'm happy they all adopted Turk, he hasn't had a family since I had to separate the two Polish hens from everyone for their own safety. He just hopped in and made himself friends!

So glad to hear Handheld has a new group of young ones to care for and protect! Every roo *human or poultry* needs to feel needed!

yuppers,, a "gomer" kid ( real country/cowboy/a little slow himself) wants him REALLY bad. this kid just got 15 acres, and about 5 months ago came and bought his first chicks, he wants to start his own little farm, and comes back about every 2 weeks and gets a few more,, well the other day he came, and found out i was leaving, asked about handheld,, told him,, and the dude almost cried
hmm.png

begged for him,, said he would do anything that roo needed him to do. i explained with great detail how in a sense , he was REALLY mean,, ( like i warned writer of pop, lol) and i told what i was gonna do,,,, he BEGGED for him, promised no matter what,, he wouldnt eat him... sooo,, dude is getting a separate place built for handheld and the babies,,, so he dont have to interact with the bigger roo's.
so even handhelds story has a great ending..

Wow, lol,, thanks! He was talking to the other roos in the area. You should hear it when the roos around me start talking, it's sounds really neat because of the different voices. Since we all have chickens, there isn't problem with vocal roos!
