I'm wondering how he got up there, the closest fence is 6 feet tall, unless he flew into the cypress tree, climbed like a monkey, then glided on the wind????? He's a talented boy for sure,, he's just trying to impress Fuzzy Butt because she decided she doesn't like him after all.

hello? Yes, I'd like some assistance please... there is a (muffled sound) on top of the cable pole.. need help please...
Fire dept shows up.. ma'am, we have a report that there is a cat on the pole? WHat?! A ROOSTER? Dont they have wings feathers, the whole 9 yards? Okay, give us a minute to set up the ladder, call the company to turn off all elec on the pole.. Your neighbors better like fresh eggs..

Well he was still up there when I was coming down the road, I could see him! By the time I got into the driveway, trying to get my cell phone open, WITHOUT hitting my fence,, he flew into the cypress tree about 8 feet from it, sounded like a bear falling through the tree too. Dropped out the bottom of the tree and walked over to the gate like he'd been waiting for me to let him in! I should mention the pole is NOT inside the yard,, it's right outside, near where I park the truck, at risk to any strays or my brother's dogs too. He's developing very bad habits,, going to have to get the pen to where I can put the netting on top of his I guess, he's a little to "wandery" for his own safety. But he did look pretty cool up there with the wind ruffling his feathers. My mom said he was up there a good 4 hours.
I used to be on the fire dept. here, NOWAY was I going to call for a ladder,, I'd have called the cable company first to bring a bucket.

I agree, he's getting a bad habit started, and it will end with a tragic ending on his part if he doesnt stop it.

But, get a pic of him up there before you make him stop. lol I wanna see him! OOo can you imagine a video of him up that high, crowing in the sun? Breathtaking I bet.

I wish I had a video camera,,, these birds would have made me rich by now. You should have seen Steven when we got home, the babies were all out! One of the bigger birds on the outside of the baby pen had scratched until the dug a shallow hole next to the bottom of the kennel,, babies everywhere! Steven looked like a skinny crab, running bent over trying to catch them all,, I was no help sitting on the ground laughing either,, until he laughed at me because I sat in duck yuckies!
I went in and grabbed some crackers, went back out, sat (carefully) on the ground and had a lap full of babies, all wanting crackers.
