The chickens? No idea. We have a raccoon trap out. Oh wow, 30? That's not cool.orange legs always show guinea. what got them? i have lost over 30. down to 2 guineas
Sorry about your birds, classroom. Are the crime scenes clean, or are they just gone? Also, where'd you find guineas at?![]()
Granny, I'm glad to see your dog came back! My cat worries me like that all the time. She's indoor, but when she manages to slip out, she's gone for a week at a time. Thank goodness she's spayed, lol. It's almost lockdown for that broody hen, but she's so aggressive over her eggs, I haven't been able to candle more than once. Hope things work out for her. Poor thing's probably only got another season or two left in her. She'd be happy to be a mommy again.
Felix's beak is starting to turn bright red! From what I've read, that means he is finally starting to mature! He's still got some baby colors in his feathers, and it'll take until next spring to see if "he" lays an egg or not... I never thought such a tiny bird would take so long to grow up, lol.
Speaking of tiny birds... My mom went to a small swap last weekend and found a lot of teeny tiny little presents for me! A whole flock of the cutest little OEGs. One rooster and four hens. I'm thinking they could make friends with Felix (when the time is right). They're the exact same size as him.![]()
Apologies for not posting very often lately, I've been busy organizing some possible job opportunities to sell some of the jewelry I've made. I've also been a bit busy with school reading assignments and senior pictures. I'm gonna be exhausted by the end of this week!
Lol, I'm kind of worried about the noise! I don't even know if the neighbors would be able to handle roosters. We don't have any roosters... at least, none that crow. xDI'm dying to have guineas, but my mom isn't hearing any of it, lol. She says the roosters are loud enough, and if we get guineas we'll run the neighbors out of town.
Here's that gecko I got. She's a young female, so she'll get to be about the size of my hand full grown. She's a great starter species (leopard gecko), and she's very neat to hold and watch eat.![]()
you can see her brothers and sisters in the background here. The containers are for showcasing, my little lizard friend is now in a much more spacious 10 gallon tank.
