Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Sorry about your birds, classroom. Are the crime scenes clean, or are they just gone? Also, where'd you find guineas at?

Granny, I'm glad to see your dog came back! My cat worries me like that all the time. She's indoor, but when she manages to slip out, she's gone for a week at a time. Thank goodness she's spayed, lol. It's almost lockdown for that broody hen, but she's so aggressive over her eggs, I haven't been able to candle more than once. Hope things work out for her. Poor thing's probably only got another season or two left in her. She'd be happy to be a mommy again.

Felix's beak is starting to turn bright red! From what I've read, that means he is finally starting to mature! He's still got some baby colors in his feathers, and it'll take until next spring to see if "he" lays an egg or not... I never thought such a tiny bird would take so long to grow up, lol.

Speaking of tiny birds... My mom went to a small swap last weekend and found a lot of teeny tiny little presents for me! A whole flock of the cutest little OEGs. One rooster and four hens. I'm thinking they could make friends with Felix (when the time is right). They're the exact same size as him.

Apologies for not posting very often lately, I've been busy organizing some possible job opportunities to sell some of the jewelry I've made. I've also been a bit busy with school reading assignments and senior pictures. I'm gonna be exhausted by the end of this week!

School over here doesn't start until september. I'm getting my pictures done now, so I don't have to pay $100 for the school to take an ugly one in the dead of winter.

Well... We found feathers, and we found the birds (still alive when we found them, died later). And I have no clue where my father got the guineas - I came home from California and found eight baby birds in the brooder. He didn't say a word until I found out about them. xD

Five of the new ones are polish, one is a sultan and the last two are guineas. :)

I'm dying to have guineas, but my mom isn't hearing any of it, lol. She says the roosters are loud enough, and if we get guineas we'll run the neighbors out of town.

Lol, I'm kind of worried about the noise! I don't even know if the neighbors would be able to handle roosters. We don't have any roosters... at least, none that crow. xD

I figured out what's mauling our chickens today. I caught it in the act, stopped him before the chicken was hurt. Bad news is that it's here to stay. It's my dog. I just can't believe... UGH! He's usually so good around animals! We've had chickens for years and this has never happened! I don't even know what to do right now. I can't get rid of him, and I refuse to keep my birds cooped up. *sigh* Not exactly a good day. My dog has murdered two of my animals and almost got a third. He's always loved animals! This is the same dog that raised two ducklings! Just... ARGH!!!

Here's that gecko I got. She's a young female, so she'll get to be about the size of my hand full grown. She's a great starter species (leopard gecko), and she's very neat to hold and watch eat.

you can see her brothers and sisters in the background here. The containers are for showcasing, my little lizard friend is now in a much more spacious 10 gallon tank.

By the way, I just noticed your post here. I wish I could go to a reptile expo! None nearby, though. Nothing like reptiles to take somebody out of a bad mood (particularly me, lol). Leopard geckos are so cute! What morph is she? Doesn't look like a normal. I might actually be getting a ball python (I'm a huge fan of snakes) for my birthday, October 1st. I was thinking of getting a gecko, but I've kind of always liked snakes just a little bit better. Just be sure to read up on feeding leopard geckos if you haven't already, gut loading and dusting aren't things that people normally think of. Good luck with her, she is beautiful!
