I hope you have heard about your daughter by now Granny. My mom had to have a permanent shunt put int her brain too. Everything has worked out fine though even the doc was surprised to find out that the shunt shows up on her mammograms!

they kept her in post-op all night and they had to cut her stomach too so the tube would go down. had some issues with her bp but she is stable now. did they do that to your mom? the stomach? we were not aware of that part.

yes it was, was up most the night. our kids are the death of us, my mother told me that, and i def. know what she means

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... I went to give Moose his water yesterday evening before I went to bed. Moose passed away last night.

I was giving him a few drops of sugar water and electrolytes every ten to fifteen minutes. It seems like he went peacefully, since I thought he was asleep.

His crop was empty, but he was so weak and tired. He just gave out, I guess. Despite both Moose and Archie passing away, this has been one of the best learning experiences I've had. Because of them, I will definitely be ordering chukar chicks or chukar eggs come spring. I'm going to miss the little guy. He was such a special little thing.
