Possible respiratory infection, peafowl?

@casportpony thank you, never administered an injection before; but been looking up how to locate the muscle and to use an insulin needle, as he’s only a baby. But if needs must I will. I’ll start with the Batyril, as I’ll definitely feel more confident administering orally. Hopefully that will fix him. Will let you know in a few days how I get on.

Thank you so much for all of your help so far Kathy. I honestly don’t think Blue would still be here if it wasn’t for you.

@casportpony well...I’d say a lot better, he won’t even stand still long enough for me to take a photo. He’s running around like before. The eye is clear and shiny. He’s eating and continuing to gain weight. Think I’m going to give him the Batyril for the full 3 days.

Well...it’s all thanks to you! So from myself and Blue, thank you so, so much.

P.S. thank you @Cragg Klefor for sending Kathy our way, with her infinite knowledge.
You are welcome. Delighted to hear Blue is doing good - I have had my fingers crossed for him. With Casportpony on the case you've got the best advice you can get. Hopefully all is going to be well.

Here we have one happy, healthy, peafowl baby! @casportpony @Cragg Klefor

Wonderful news! I am so glad you were able to get the Baytril. I am curious though as to why the cipro didn't work. Maybe a higher dose was needed? Guess that's something to research. :D

Anyway, all that matters is that he's better and I am so happy that he is. Look at the difference in his eyes! Amazing! You did a great job caring for him. :hugs to both of you.

I’m really not sure, the Cipro definitely helped shift the start of it...perhaps I should have done 7 days instead of 5?
The Baytril definitely got rid of it though.
As said many times before, without you, we would have been stuck. So thank you again from Blue and me.
Hugs to you and your menagerie they have the best mum.
