Post crop surgery problems, ADVICE NEEDED

The idea of feeding soft food after crop surgery is to avoid things that might put a strain on the incision. The crop will heal very quickly so five to seven days of soft foods, including wet mash, should be enough.
I'm afraid I may have let her eat too much tonight. Her crop is moderately full after her bedtime meal. Is that bad? Do I need to keep her crop fullness at a minimum? Surgery was two days ago.

It went down a lot but not completely this morning. Should I still feed her a small amount or continue to wait?
The same has happened with my hen. It's never fully gone down but she always wants food. If she's still got her appetite it is best to continue feeding just small amounts throughout the day.

How far out are you now from the surgery day? I wonder if eventually she'll have the empty crop in the morning?

It's day 11 now. I am worried the impaction will come back but she's just too skinny now so I'd rather her eat and just continue monitoring her and hopefully it'll empty normally soon. 🤞

@azygous For both do you or anyone reading, my girl is pale four days after surgery. Things seem to be doing pretty well but not sure why she's pale. Advice or reasoning?
