These are both supposed to be phoenix's the roo looks young, he has no spurs, and the hen has a flopped over comb. Sorry about the cell phone pics. They are still a little afraid of me and will fly out of my yard. I want to try and catch them tonight and clip 1 wi

sometimes it can, but usually a floppy comb is just a genetic flaw. do the scales on her legs look young and fresh, or old and dry, closer pic could help on that when they settle down for you
 
So Champ is now 6 months old. His color has changed so many times since he was a baby. What color would he be considered? I have had several people tell me that he is a birchen. Whatever color he is, he is gorgeous in my opinion.

When do Phoenix roos start crowing? Mine doesn't crow yet, and he's got about a 3/4 inch nub where his spurs are growing. About how old do you think he is?
