congrats on that Mopar, yes they cost a lot, but like I told you, are worth every penny of it.
Are you getting blues, or some of his lavender projetcs? Didnt know he had all blues, may have to change my order if he does. So far getting a pair each of the silver, gold, and bb red bantams to go with my current lines in them. Will have to see what all else he has too. He said he spent most of his breeding season last year over in Isreal, so didnt have a lot this past fall, but would be sure to finish me out this spring with his colors.

I hate you lost one of the eggs in shipping, that's a rare occurance for me, they sure must have beat them up. Good luck with the other 11, hope they all do great for you

Yep, that's the same ones I just got off him this fall. They are lavender ones. They are pretty good, but I'm sure he told you, even after 7-8 years of work from him, they still arent perfect and need a little work. I'm breeding mine over his and Toni-Marie's whites to improve them. This will give you all blacks from the first year (which is nice on it's own)
You will need to back breed them again black to black and you will get some better lavenders out of them then.

Hello Everyone:

I used to show bearded silkies when I was in 4 H and FFA 15 years ago. Well my daughter will be in fourth grade next year and she wants to show poultry for 4 H. She is in love with the standard or bantam silver or gold phoenix. I live in way south Louisiana and can not find anyone even close that has show quality phoenix. I found one 9 month old rooster in North Texas I will purchase, it is a silver standard phoenix. I am still looking for one more rooster or cockreal and a few hens. I really would like for her to show two rooster in Dec. I know I am going on a long shot looking for this right before breeding season. I don't mind shipping form any where. Like I mentioned before we are looking for standard or bantam silver or gold phoenix or even samatras. If any one can help please respond here are e-mail me direct. [email protected]

Thank you so much

so my buddy doesnt believe me when i tell him that the phoenix isnt really from japan. he says i have no proof and thats true.. any place to quote from?

me,
They were originally developed in GERMANY, and here as well to a lesser extent. Onagadori are the Japanese versions of a long tailed fowl. I dont think that any phoenix has ever even lived in Japan, LOL

He's got to quit reading all those hatchery websites they're full of lies and half truths about a lot of breeds, anything to sell a chick.

Here's another one on them, PHOENIX dont get 20 foot tails either, that's onagadori too, a totally different breed.

Dare him to go to this site and post that they were originally bred in Japan.
http://www.onagadori.net/

Ask him this, if they were from Japan, why dont they have a Japanese name like the ohiki and onagadori?

Aubrey & Clint...I posted new pics on this link of one of my white roos. Thought I'd send link but will also post pics here as well.
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=5716375#p5716375 Last page, post 89 I believe. We measured the longest streamers/tail feathers and he is 3ft 8in at tip. Feel free to critique...I tried to get him on perch but he didnt want to leave my shoulder, so sorry for the crappy pics. Would love anyones opinion, he is bantam.
