Ouuu fancy!
Standard colors are Silver duckwing, golden duckwing, bbred, and white... All other colors are genetically created by breeders. Would love to see pics of this "spangled" hen.. Sounds pretty!
Do you have black roos?
I would like to see some![]()
For exhibition purposes, the American Poultry Association only recognizes two varieties of standard size Phoenix, the Silver (1965) and Golden (1983) were admitted to the Standard of Perfection in the years listed. White and BB Red varieties are present but not 'accepted' varieties.
Is he pea combed? The only rooster I had was this black rooster
I have a solid blue son from him and a solid black cockerel. They are young and not breeding age yet. But so far so good. Right now I have the blue and black hens being used for barred flytie projects so no rush on that. I also got one black rooster with a few red feathers onhis wings and breast. The feathers are perfectly spangled so I figure he will be useful in my lacing and spangled phoenix projects.
