I'm brand new to this. My coop is built ftom freebies. Its two shipping crates screwed together

Sorry, but I have to ask... did you mean nest boxes vice coop? What you have in the above pic is way too small for a coop...

One full grown chook would hardly be able to turn around in one of those.

That looks about the size of a couple of old milk crates (which some folks have used & DO use as nest boxes). I'm all about using free materials when they're available.

I've been using 3/4" plywood scavenged from pallets. Just wish the weather would calm down so I could get back to building... Good luck with your chickeneering endeavor!
