I have four named Krissy (Pekin), "Purple beak" (Pekin, she had a purple/pink bill as a duckling), Willy Wonka (Rouen Drake) and Daisy (Rouen Duck) My two children named them all - the drake was originally just named Willy but Wonka got added later

I have three ducklings but only one is named "Spot" Pekin/Rouen mix

I really wanted to name my ducks tweedle dee and tweedle dum, but the kids wouldn't let me. 2nd choice was Bilbo and Frodo. Nixed again. Mom lost out to Doctor and Seuss

My 6 month old Pekin duck is named...."Ducky" LOL not very creative but i like it

I even sometimes call him "Duckard Mallard" from NCIS LOL

I have a 2011 sport that turned up purple...yes, that's right, purple with a bib...and since she was the topic of my post on retained meconium, we named her The Purple Pooper.

We also now own the NCBA National Champion Gray Pied Call from 2010, who my friend named Mavis (after the truckstop waitress in the CW McCall song) and her firstborn daughter, who is a definite SQ keeper, has been named Avis respectively.

I have a Butterscotch female who was Reserve Best In Show this June at Ill-Mo, and also Reserve ABA Bantam at the same, and because she is such a nut she got the name Butternut! She will be pictured in the next issue of the Poultry Press...had to think of what name suited her real quick so she could be named in the paper!

Then we have a gray pullet from late last year who my friend rather unimaginatively named "Bobber" because she bobs her head like any other excited Call...

He thinks he did great naming her, and I'm humoring him since he helps out so much.

Jerry and Red are Cayugas, Sheamus and Sigmund are blue Swedish.

We have a Rouen pair that my son named Mack and Quack after Make Way for Ducklings.

My two Welsh Harlequin drakes are Silver (for his color) and Herbie (after the old Herbie movies)

I have one Welsh Harlequin hen named Gertrude, after the duck (who is really a drake) in the old version of Journey to the Center of the Earth . . . I couldn't see naming one of my drakes Gertrude just to make it EXACTLY like the movie. Silly producers who don't bother to research . . .

I have another Welsh Harlequin hen named Bubbles and 3 more as yet unnamed, but this thread is giving me lots of ideas!

Had lone call duck and chick hatch out. Chicken Joe and Quakers. Chicken Joe is the call duck. No more male names, he's fully feathered and quacking like a drake

I name the ducklings at the lake that I blog the most about. Some of the ducks were previously named by other people and since they respond to those names, I don't change them.

Most of the ducks I've named have food names, lol.
