Meanwhile here's a story for you:
Harold the SpoonThis is my hubby's favorite spoon. No other will do. He named it Harold. We have searched for replacement spoons in stores, flea malls, thrift stores, etc, but he has never found one he likes as much as Harold. If the table is set with another spoon at his place, he'll get up and search thru the drawer, dish rack, counter, etc. until Harold is found. It is interesting that our 5 yr old Granddaughter in Oregon also has a favorite spoon and she will get up and search for it if she is given a different one to eat with.
This past summer, she came to visit us on the farm. We gave her a bowl of ice cream on day one. She didn't like the spoon she was given, and went to the drawer and guess what she picked out! "She choose Harold!!!!!!" I announced. She looked at me incredulously..."Your spoons have NAMES??????" Grampy let her eat with Harold the whole week she was here.
