I agree with all who are sickened. As the mother of a six year old, I can't understand how drugs or whatever can damage your brain to the point that you can justify selling your child to be molested and so much worse.

I feel really sorry for the father and aunt. From what I can understand, they pretty much raised the child.

I don't know what the rest of you believe, but little Shaniya is in heaven now. She's not hurting and she's happy and at peace.

people that commit crimes against children should get what they dished on that child 100 times over magnified! most of you know the battles im going thru right now over my kids! i have zero tolerance for things like this news story. i am appalled at this. i feel for the child and her true family who really did love her. my heart goes out to them.

This is where I live and took place in the jurisdiction my husband works with. I cannot think of this baby without crying.

The first guy was the wrong guy, just happened to look a lot like the boyfriend, so he was released. The boyfriend confessed to have Shaniya, and mom is in jail now. Her father had her up until a month ago, and mom got "clean" and asked for a chance. So, the little girl's father let her come stay with mom. Please pray for her father, and all the police and emergency personnel involved in this for the last week. It is heartbreaking for everyone, including the cops and firemen who had to search for her.

There is a special place in hell for mothers that do this to thier children.

happens all the time, more than you could imagine. The children sex trade business is like huge here and over seas. I am not surprised at all. Some people are total scum! Wether they do it them selves or do it for drugs , it happens. Addicts will do anything for their drug, including selling kids for sex. And yes, some drugs will do that(CRACK) The mom looks like a crackhead.

I am sad that nobody helped this little girl. The family denies the claim but also states if it was happening why didn't anyone help her??? WTH I just shake my head and hug my kids!

ssshhhh, don't tell my husband, he gets upset with me cause I get emotional. I am waiting to see if they will do a memorial here, or if her father will take her home. If it is here, I believe I may go pray for that baby. Social services was called multiple times to that home, the police were there also, but that was before that little girl got there, and the authorities did not know that she was there. She was only here for a month. The family is the ONLY one saying that things were good there, social services knew it was bad, so did the police. But no one knew this child moved in a month ago.

TRAGIC! I know and to think in our neighborhoods! URGH WANT TO KILL SOMEONE! There is a disatachment when you offer your kid to others VS you doing it. WTH? Makes me super sick and i want to put down people like that!
