Prayer Need in Chickasha, OK Fire

The Intermediate school has caught fire, from the center building of the structure. This school has been condemned for a while, because it is full of asbestos. They have called in at least 5 fire departments to put out the fire so far, and police are evacuating the residential area. It is very dry and windy today. Please keep our town in your prayers. Its a 20 minute drive for me to the school; I live way out in the country. I can see the smoke and smell it at home now. News Channel 9 has been showing it live (Okie). My husband-to-be is one of the cops out there right now. Thank you for your prayers everyone.

I drove by the school today, and wish I hadn't. It was pretty depressing. The building was still smoking, 24 hours after the fire started. What they aren't mentioning is that this building was under contract to be bought for $10k. Why so cheap? The building was full of asbestos. But now that its all been burnt, and millions aren't necessary to have it removed, the impending sale is being reconsidered.

The blessings: No homes were burnt, and no one was harmed! Some yards caught fire for two blocks north of the school, but that was the worst. This is the biggest fire our town has seen, we were very blessed that it was so contained. Thank you everyone for you prayers!

You made the news in Massachusetts today, saw a clip of the fire. I missed all they said but saw a picture quick of the school burning. So glad to hear that no one was hurt, fires are very scary and there sure seems to be alot of them lately.
