Yes, when God spoke His law from the mountain in the desert, the people assented that the law was holy and just and good, and agreed to observe it. "All that the Lord has said, we will do," they said. That was the first, or old covenant. But before Moses came down from the mount with the law written in stone by God's own hand, the people had broken the law already by making idols of gold and worshipping them. Humans, since the fall of Adam and Eve, are incapable of keeping God's law by their own efforts, for the human heart is "desperately wicked" (Jer. 17:9). The new covenant is God offering to remove the stony, disobedient heart from us and replacing it with a "heart of flesh," on which His law is written, enabling us to keep His law through His power and grace, not in our own strength. See Ezek. 11:19, Ezek. 36:26. In Him we become new creatures (2 Cor. 5:17).The new and everlasting covenant is the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is everlasting because it never changes..the things that would save a man in Adam’s day are the very things that will save a man today. Victory..over sin and satan. The new and everlasting covenant is a contractual arrangement in which God...and man...agree to abide by certain terms and conditions in return for certain benefits. Man agrees to keep all of God’s commandments and observe every ordinance of salvation. God, in return... agrees to share with man all the blessings and benefits of eternal life.
God knows your need:I am not in a great place mentally right now. Would really appreciate some prayer.

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
May He bless you just now by taking away the spirit of fear and filling you instead with His spirit of power, and of love and of a sound mind according to this promise in the precious name of Jesus, who holds all power and authority in heaven and earth, amen.
