lmao. The duck explosion must be a worldwide phenomenon! I think the duck collecting is contagious! Might be a pandemic soon!


I don't currently have any pictures from the breeder, as I haven't picked the exact pair I'm purchasing yet. I will post tons of pictures when I get them! I'm so excited! It's been in the making since July!

Good thing we all have each other here to help enable our duck problem.

I got so excited over everything that I forgot to mention I have 2 eggs in the incubator on their 22 day! A call duck and a Crested Rouen x pekin!

I also have a broody duck sitting on a clutch! They aren't far along but boy is she grumpy!

I noticed some black bibbed calls among some pics, can’t remember who they belong to, that have white stripes on the speculums. All my blacks have always had black speculums until now, I noticed yesterday one of white momma’s daughters has white stripes. Anybody know how/why?

Do you mean speculum or do you mean flight feathers?
I think black and blue bibs are supposed to have a certain amount of white primaries.

To be honest, I'm not sure!
I've just never seen any white on my other blues or blacks, so that jumped out at me. But I did see that they are supposed to have some white, so maybe my older ones are dusky?? I'm still researching.....

tbey are supposed to have two. Some of mine have more than two..or two on one side and three on the other.

Yea, I guess the white I'm seeing in her is on the primaries. I need to watch her flap/spread her wings.
