He’s adorable! Can’t blame you for favoring him.Does anyone have experience with duck harnesses? I’m currently looking for one for Bobbles. I tried a ferret harness which almost worked but not quite. I’m thinking of ordering a custom made one. Any suggestions?
here’s a video of him on our little tripP.s. mind the blur… I covered the name of a business.
Thanks so much. He’s a charmer for sure. He’s adorable! Can’t blame you for favoring him.
I don’t know of any harnesses that work, but when Phoenix was still a house duck, she wouldn’t get very far from me. She still does a head bob when I say her name now, but she won’t let me touch her anymore.
I did take the duckling with me camping over the weekend. I tried putting her on the ground and she sat close for a while, but then tried to run from me! I thought we’d never catch the little devil. Lol

Glad they are all accounted for!I had quite the scare tonight! More so since I saw a huge owl stalking the ducks last night!
I put all the ducks in the pen when it started getting dark out. I started counting as usual…. 1…3…… 18! I was one short! I searched the area with no luck. I shook the treats and called… nothing! I had remembered seeing her beside my shed when I first let them out. I was looking around and I heard a little noise. I have a pile with some scrap metal beside my shed (chain link fence, tin from my shed, etc…) and under it was none other than Chip the missing duck!
I’ve got a super angry broody dux! She just started laying eggs at the beginning of this month. She started sitting seriously today. She’s got around 12 eggs from the looks of it. She practically bit my arm off for taking her off her nest! Unfortunately she chose a bad spot to build her extravagant feather filled nest. I cannot justify leaving her outside without protection. She is now quacking nonstop and very ornery.
Finally on to my questions: Can I move her nest elsewhere or will she quit sitting? She is still young (right at 6 months) could she be a good mother?
