Preppers were right! No toilet paper in the stores due to Coronavirus scare.

You eat spam??? Are you Hawaian?

That's a bit of a generalization, but my husband is. Someone in the store said, "Hey, you're Hawaiian! Did you want any of the SPAM? I grabbed the last ones." He declined lol. It isn't a diet staple for us, though - just a once in a while treat. Can't go wrong with Musubi...I could eat that stuff all day lol.

Sorry.:( Ididnt mean to be bad. Sometimes what I think is funny isnt.

That brings up the question, what is a decent stock of TP? I think that maybe your gender determines that answer. When Dear Wife showed me that we "only" had another 24 rolls of TP in the closet, I'm thinking I would be fine until sometime next year. Evidently, I am wrong and it's time to panic.

LOL I checked my pantry this morning and we have 11 rolls. Yeah, we're good for the year. I have no idea how people go through so much toilet paper. My septic would explode!

You might want to stock up on whatever poultry feed that you will be needing if you have a place to store it properly also, since so many places are shutting down now because of this scare.
I kind of wondered about the feed mills shutting down but I don't truly think that will happen. Although I may still go get another bag just to have on hand for my 9 girls.

SPAM is originally made in Minnesota, where I am from. I believe it was made to can meat for our military overseas. I actually have toured the plant where SPAM is made when I was a contracting officer for the military (almost 40 years ago). SPAM is not a staple in my diet, either, but I always have a few cans of canned meat (SPAM or other brands) in the cupboard. Dear Wife will cut the canned meat into thin slices and fry it up to use as "bacon" for breakfast. Sometimes thicker slices are used as a meat substitute for a meal. But, in general, it does not play much of role in our diet.

My local farm store usually has a sale on chicken feed about once every 4 months. Last time it was $3 off per 50# bag. So I stocked up on feed and bought 4 bags - which I estimate to last my girls almost 6 months. I was told that the feed will stay good for about 6 months, so that was my limiting factor. I have lots of good storage space, but don't want to store feed that has gone bad/stale. Anyway, I now only buy feed when on sale and just restock up to my 4 bag limit. Saves a little money that way and reduces the number of trips to town to buy feed.

I have not heard any rumors of our feed mill and/or big box farm stores shutting down. In any case, I still have a good 3 months of feed in storage.
