$10,000 rebate? Wish we were offered that! We paid for our cars and not a penny came from tax payers. We are a working poor family. To much to qualify for any help, and to poor to pay for most things we need.We pay our bills and we never once bailed via bankruptcy.Car payments were anywhere from $178 to $330 a month. We paid extra and paid off early.Never kept a hybrid long enough to need a new battery. I supsect we won't with the current one either. I am hoping for a diesel next time.Lol,will the government come raiding me if I am cooking up some bio fuel in my garage????
I have found our hybrids go 44-53 mpg.A good diesel will do that too. I think diesels and biofuel from algea or used cooking oil are the future not hybrids or all electric cars. These cars are just a postponement of our need to wean off oil.If electric is not via solar, wind,or water generation then it is not good.Shale mining and natural gas are not the answer either though companies are ruinning the land for it right now!
Darn EPA regulations run up the cost of diesel vehicles.Dh does complain about his bio fuel in the semi. They run on a mix of bio and traditional oil diesel.
I can remember having a *video* game for the tv that was a line on either side and a dot bounced back and forth.Lol, I tease the kids about getting them that. I think games now are awesome.Don't like the cost, but better than that line and dot.Though I do wish we still had the console for a good laugh.
On DD preppers a guy had a military truck that ran on USED motor oil.
