Welcome to BYC! We are glad you joined our flock!
I'd be worried about picking up a chicken disease if other chicken owners visit and pet your chickens.

Coop Ideas: Chicken Coops
There are a couple of articles below in my signature that are worth the short read. BYC has an APP
Hi, and welcome to the group!
I'm a little confused, are you talking about chickens living full time at your stand or bring a few with you for the day to show to customers? Do you have chickens now, at home? Is the stand at your home? It could be a good idea, or a bad one. Some more info would help. Also, you say chicks, but you intend to sell the eggs. Babies, or hens? I wouldn't let people handle babies, personally. Biosecurity is a factor to consider, even with adults.
There is a place I sometimes stop at when I'm out in the delta over here, that has a picnic area attached, and they have a chicken coop by it. You can't really access the coop, but I always take a peek when I stop. So it is a draw, at least for me, anyway. But it is a large permanent building, that sells much more than produce, and I think the owners live on the same (large) property.
Interesting Idea. Keep in mind chicks are only cute and fluffy for a week or two, then they go through an ugly stage for a couple months. It takes about 6 months for them to start laying eggs. Then you will always get people who expect to buy the chicks.
If you want to sell farm fresh eggs, might be better to raise a large flock at home with a proper coop, then maybe bring only your friendliest birds to visit at the produce stand.
Each hen will lay 3-6 eggs per week... the best layers are usually the meanest and most skittish. The sweetest and prettiest breeds lay less. Either way, you need a lot of hens to add up your dozens. Just food for thought.
Welcome to the chicken family! There's lots of good info floating around on the site. I love this idea! Many of my customers drive by and see my yard of chickens and need to stop lol. It's a good selling point. A tractor coop would be perfect for you! Maybe also check out rabbit hutches/runs. I use a small rabbit run when I need something portable and temporary. We'd love some pics of your stand and your end results!
